Description

Project Contains

  • LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor module
  • 1 Channel Relay module
  • LED light
  • Connecting wires
  • Battery with Charging Module
  • Sunboard board

How It Works

  • This project works on the principle of light intensity detection using an LDR sensor.
  • In bright light, the resistance of the LDR decreases.
  • In darkness, the resistance of the LDR increases.
  • The sensor module compares the light level with a preset threshold:
  • When it becomes dark, the circuit automatically turns ON the light.
  • When sufficient light is present, the circuit turns OFF the light.
  • No Arduino or microcontroller is required, making this project simple, low-cost, and ideal for beginners.

Applications

  • Automatic street light systems
  • Night lamp automation
  • Energy-saving lighting systems
  • Home and garden lighting control
  • School science exhibitions
  • Smart lighting demonstrations
  • Basic electronics learning projects

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding of LDR sensor working principle
  • Knowledge of automatic control systems
  • Basics of analog electronics and switching circuits
  • Practical experience with relay control
  • Awareness of energy conservation concepts
  • Hands-on learning without programming
